David was admitted as a Solicitor in
1998 after completing a Bachelor of Laws and Commerce at
the University of Queensland. David also holds a Masters
Degree in Taxation through the University of NSW, where
he graduated first in his class.
Throughout his career David has had extensive experience
in commercial transactions, corporate law, business
structuring, taxation and superannuation matters, wills
and testamentary trusts.
David regularly advises clients in relation to asset
protection, structuring and estate planning, and is
particularly focussed on the taxation aspects of this
advice. He has also successfully conducted a number of
tax litigation matters against the Australian Taxation
Office.
David is a Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia
and regularly consults with clients and other tax
professionals in relation to the best commercial and
legal approach to take when faced with an audit or other
tax office investigation.
David is one of only four Taxation Law Accredited
Specialists in Queensland and the only one based on the
Gold Coast.
