GRANT OF PROBATE

What is Grant of Probate?

A Grant of Probate is the Supreme Court’s official recognition of the validity of a Will. Many asset holders will require a certified copy of a Grant of Probate before they will comply with any direction by the executors or administrator of an estate and before they will release any assets.

If you pass away without a Will, your next of kin will be required to obtain a grant of Letters of Administration from the Court in order to administer your Estate.

We can assist you with your application for a grant of Probate, Letters of Administration or a Reseal of a foreign grant.

We can assist you with any complex issues that may arise in relation to the administration of a loved-one’s Estate if there is:

  • An informal Will;
  • An unsigned or copy of a Will;
  • Concerns as to the capacity of the will-maker when a Will was signed.

We have the skills and experience to be able to help you navigate the complex legal issues, whilst providing you with support during what is often a difficult and emotional time for families.
